WPL 2024 starting was with a bang. WPL 2024 opening ceremony was filled with typical Bollywood glamour. What caught eyes of many was that the event was performed only by male stars. Tiger Shroff, Kartik Aryan, Varun Dhawan, Shahid Kapoor, and Siddharth Malhotra made it a memorable event. Sharukh Khan’s Iconic pose was a site to behold when he performed it with the five captains of WPL 2024 .WPL Schedule 2024 garnered more views online but the attendance at the stadium was a treat to watch.
Lets return back to cricket shall we? Well, if we got caught in Bollywood, we won’t be able to know what I am trying to achieve with this blog.

The whole ground was packed. Smriti Mandhana did not disappoint as well, she batted beautifully and RCB women won in the end by 2 runs . If the first match saw Harmanpreet Kaur get in some form after 171 against Australia in world cup, This fifty by RCB women captain smriti Mandhana was also awaited.
If you consider this WPL 2024 as the a platform for players to showcase the talent and cement their place for T20 world I would say it has done wonders to their mental toughness as well.
With almost five matches decided on the last over or some on last deliveries as well. Margin for victory for UP Warriors against Delhi Capitals women was as low as 1 run. The Allrounder Deepti Sharma stole the show with 3 wickets in the 19 th over and a fifty while batting first.
This WPL Jemimah Rodrigues is in the other zone she playing aggressively and sensibly. Some of the shots she played were really breath taking to say the least . Jemimah Rodrigues strike rate in WPL 2024 is approx. 160. She also told in the PMC told that she learning to hits the gaps from Virat Kohli.
Shefali Verma, she needs no introduction, but off late her form has been really worry some. But Shefali Verma has like other discovered herself as the tournament progressed. Her innings in the last league match again Gujrat Giants Women was the terrific. She was hitting Ashley Gardner ace Australian offie for fun.
WPL 2024 "a event to remember".
With Richa Gosh doing what she does best, RCB women almost chase down the target set by Delhi Capitals women. RCB women just fell short by a run, but not before Richa Gosh won the hearts of every cricket lover. The scenes that unfolded after that also brought tears to the eyes of every fan who loves why cricket is played. It was just after a night when her Indian team captain Harmanpreet Kaur had taken MI women to a victory when they were looking down the Barrel, as Ravi Shastri would say, Needing 90 odd from the last 6 overs. The beast in Harman unfolded and she won the match for Mumbai Indian women with 1 ball to spare. With these performances from the proven ones. Indian women’s cricket team has already been selected for T20 World it would seem. But not before we get to mention youngster Shriyanka Patil who has been nothing but impressive with her bowling and some of the catches she has taken have left spectators in awweee. Yastika Bhatia has shown that she can strike the ball as and when needed and could be India’s 3rd opener choice in the T20 World Cup to come.
WPL 2024 surprises with staggering numbers of spectators .
With the number of spectators coming to ground it will only inspire more and more girls to take up sports. This WPL 2024 has not only inspired girls to take up different sports where they feel they can excel but has also chosen the India T20 World Cup women’s team. It is great to see the major players coming back to form more so with the close encounters that happened this year. As I am finishing up this blog another close finish in the eliminator is the icing on the cake. And in my view I m feeling that RCB is the Winner of WPL 2024.
